WWE One Night Stand

One Night Stand is an annual professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by World Wrestling Entertainment. For the first two years the event featured wrestlers from the former Extreme Championship Wrestling promotion, whose holdings WWE purchased in bankruptcy court, and was promoted under the ECW initials. The 2005 show was a tribute show to the original ECW, with all the match participants being ECW alumni including those who were not under contract with WWE at the time. The 2006 edition, however, marked the kickoff to WWEs new ECW brand. The 2007 edition was the first one since ECW was revived as a full time brand, but also featured the RAW and SmackDown! brands. The change means the event is now promoted under the WWE initials rather than ECWs.

ECW One Night Stand 2005 took place on June 12, 2005 at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York, New York. The official theme song was Bodies by Drowning Pool.

* Lance Storm (w/Dawn Marie) defeated Chris Jericho (7:22)
o Storm pinned Jericho after Justin Credible and Jason came to ringside and Credible hit Jericho with a Singapore cane.

* A tribute video introduced by Gary Pitbull #1 Wolfe aired honoring ECW alumni who had died since the promotion folded in 2001:
o Rocco Rock, Terry Gordy, Mike Crash Holly Lockwood, The Original Sheik, Mike Lozansky, Anthony Pitbull #2 Durante, Big Dick Dudley, Chris Candido

* Super Crazy defeated Yoshihiro Tajiri (w/The Sinister Minister and Mikey Whipwreck) and Little Guido (w/Tracy Smothers, Tony Mamaluke, Big Guido and J.T. Smith) in a Three-Way Dance (6:12)
o Tajiri pinned Guido after a Whippersnapper from Whipwreck (4:08)
o Crazy pinned Tajiri after a moonsault (6:12)

* Rey Misterio, Jr. defeated Psychosis (6:22)
o Misterio pinned Psychosis with a West Coast Pop.

* Sabu (w/Bill Alfonso) defeated Rhyno (6:30)
o Sabu pinned Rhyno after an Arabian Skull Crusher through a table after Rob Van Dam hit Rhyno with a Van Daminator.

* Chris Benoit defeated Eddie Guerrero (10:37)
o Benoit forced Guerrero to submit with the Crippler Crossface.

* Mike Awesome defeated Masato Tanaka (9:52)
o Awesome pinned Tanaka after a Suicide Dive to the outside.
o After the match Awesome Powerbombed referee Jim Mollinneux.

* The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von) defeated Tommy Dreamer and The Sandman (10:52)
o Buh Buh and D-Von pinned Dreamer after a Powerbomb through a flaming table.
o Spike Dudley, The bWo (Hollywood Nova, Da Blue Guy, and Big Stevie Cool), Kid Kash, The Hardcore Chair Swingin Freaks (Axl Rotten and Balls Mahoney), Lance Storm, Justin Credible, Francine, and Beulah McGillicutty all interfered before the match officially started. Credible, Storm, McGillicutty, and Francine were the only ones that actually interfered during the match.
o Following the main event, Stone Cold Steve Austin challenged invading members of the RAW and SmackDown! rosters to brawl with the ECW alumni. ECW ultimately won the brawl, which ended with Eric Bischoff receiving a Stone Cold Stunner from Steve Austin.

2006

ECW One Night Stand 2006 took place on June 11, 2006 at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York, New York. The official theme song was Bodies by Drowning Pool. The promotional poster featured Rob Van Dam, while the DVD cover featured John Cena and Rob Van Dam.

* Tazz defeated Jerry Lawler (0:35)
o Lawler passed out from the Tazzmission.

* Kurt Angle defeated Randy Orton (15:07)
o Angle forced Orton to submit with the Ankle Lock.

* The F.B.I. (Little Guido and Tony Mamaluke) (w/Big Guido) defeated Tajiri and Super Crazy (12:24)
o Guido pinned Tajiri after a Double Fishermans Brainbuster.
o After the match, The Big Show came to the ring and attacked every wrestler in the ring.

* World Heavyweight Champion Rey Mysterio fought Sabu to a no contest in a Extreme Rules Match (9:10)
o Dr. Ferdinand Rios came out and called off the match after Sabu hit Mysterio with a Triple Jump DDT through a table on to the floor, rendering both men unconscious, Mysterio retained the title.

* Edge, Mick Foley, and Lita defeated Terry Funk, Tommy Dreamer and Beulah McGillicutty in a Hardcore Intergender match (18:45)
o Edge pinned McGillicutty after a Spear.
o Halfway through the match, Funk was taken backstage after Foley grinded a barbwired baseball bat into his eye.

* Balls Mahoney defeated Masato Tanaka in a Extreme Rules Match (5:03)
o Mahoney pinned Tanaka after hitting him with a steel chair.

* Rob Van Dam defeated John Cena to win the WWE Championship in a Extreme Rules Match (20:41)
o Van Dam pinned Cena after a Five-Star Frog Splash following a Spear through a table from Edge. Paul Heyman made the 3 count after two referees were knocked out.
o This match was the result of RVD cashing in his Money in the Bank title shot.

One Night Stand 2007 took place on June 3, 2007 at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida. The official theme song was Famous by Puddle of Mudd. All matches were contested under Extreme Rules, which was also the tagline. The promotional poster and DVD cover featured Marcus Cor Von and Bobby Lashleys faces morphed together.

* Dark match: Santino Marella defeated Chris Masters
o Marella pinned Masters with a Roll-up.

* Rob Van Dam defeated Randy Orton in a Stretcher match (14:31)
o RVD pushed Orton across the line to win.

* CM Punk and The ECW Originals (Tommy Dreamer and The Sandman) defeated The New Breed (Elijah Burke, Matt Striker and Marcus Cor Von) in a Tables match (7:18)
o Punk Superplexed Striker onto Burke and through a table.

* The Hardys (Matt and Jeff) defeated The Worlds Greatest Tag Team (Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas) in a Ladder match to retain the World Tag Team Championship (17:17)
o Matt grabbed the belts to win.

* Mark Henry defeated Kane in a Lumberjack match (9:07)
o The referee stopped the match when Henry had Kane in a Bear hug.
o Lumberjacks: Chris Benoit, Val Venis, Santino Marella, Balls Mahoney, Stevie Richards, The Miz, Kevin Thorn, Chris Masters, Johnny Nitro, Chavo Guerrero, Kenny Dykstra, Carlito
o During the match, Guerrero and Dykstra interfered on Henrys behalf.

* Bobby Lashley defeated Vince McMahon (w/Shane McMahon and Umaga) in a Street Fight to win the ECW World Championship (12:23)
o Lashley pinned Vince after a Spear.
o During the match, Shane and Umaga interfered on Vinces behalf.

* Candice Michelle defeated Melina in a Pudding match (2:55)
o Michelle forced Melina to submit by holding her head under the pudding.
o After the match, Melina attacked Maria, who had tried to interview Candice.

* Edge defeated Batista in a Steel cage match to retain the World Heavyweight Championship (15:39)
o Edge escaped the cage to win.

* John Cena defeated The Great Khali (w/Runjin Singh) in a Pinfalls Count Anywhere match to retain the WWE Championship (10:31)
o Cena pinned Khali after an FU off of a crane onto the floor.
